Meet Mary

Mary a white cis woman smiles and sits on a front stoop.

Mary (she/her) is a therapist and licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). Her approach to therapy is relational and collaborative, informed by psychodynamic and trauma theory principles. What this means is that getting to know you - your history, identities, values, needs, and patterns - will be central to the process of addressing the challenges that bring you to therapy.

Mary strives to make therapy a warm, supportive, and meaningful space, including bringing a gentle and compassionate approach to pain and trauma. She also recognizes that systemic and structural power dynamics are critical factors in all mental health experiences. Engaging with the role and impact of oppression, marginalization, power, and privilege on your experience navigating the external world and how that has shaped your internal world, is another important part of therapy.

Mary is a white, queer cis woman who has lived in Philly for 10+ years. She loves walking in the city in all its seasons. She enjoys fantasy and strange fiction, unserious art practices, and spending time with her friends, partner, and dog.
